Time and time again I have this conversation in my office about how the choices we make determine the outcomes we get. Each and every one of us lives a unique life that we can control to some extent. To me, it’s one of the greatest parts about being alive. Another 5k in the books! Maybe I’ll actually run one next time haha. Can't wait to celebrate pride this weekend with Q Fitness & Wellness at their annual 5k! @qfitnessandwellness Let's be honest, life feels pretty muddy a lot of time. Had such a great time on Sunday at the Mental Health Matters 5K! It was truly a day filled with so much joy in light of how hard it can be to deal with mental health issues. If you have ever had mental health struggles or know someone who does, know that you are not alone. Mental health affects us all at some point one way or another. Huge than you to @anaforte_rd for helping me provide some complimentary services to the participants 😁 All you have to do is show up in your mind-set, in your actions, with your words and your goals are there waiting. The thing is though, showing up is the hardest part. If you can do that, then little by little you can achieve your goals. Being here, in this space for my patients has made me truly overjoyed and it's only here because I've shown up. Most people look at mental health as “what’s your diagnosis?” instead of a state of being that we all have to rely on daily. The more aware of our mental and emotional states then the more we can dream, hope and live life to the fullest. Right now, this very moment can you tell what your mental state is in? There are many reasons and many ways you might not know, and that’s ok. In my practice as a chiropractor, I often help people decipher the feelings of pain and a lot of the emotions that come with it too.
